Distinguishing Lightweight Block Ciphers in Encrypted Images

چکیده
Modern day lightweight block ciphers provide powerful encryption methods for securing IoT communication data. Tiny digital devices exchange private data which the individual users might not be willing to get disclosed. On other hand, adversaries try their level best capture this The first step towards is identify scheme. This work an effort construct a distinguisher cipher used in encrypting traffic We establish deep learning based method scheme from set of three viz. LBlock, PRESENT and SPECK. make use images MNIST fashion sets establishing cryptographic distinguisher. Our results show that overall classification accuracy depends firstly on type key secondly how frequently pixel values change original input image.

A MAC Mode for Lightweight Block Ciphers
Lightweight cryptography strives to protect communication in constrained environments without sacrificing security. However, security often conflicts with efficiency, shown by the fact that many new lightweight block cipher designs have block sizes as low as 64 or 32 bits. Such low block sizes lead to impractical limits on how much data a mode of operation can process per key. MAC (message auth...
متن کاملExploring Energy Efficiency of Lightweight Block Ciphers
In the last few years, the field of lightweight cryptography has seen an influx in the number of block ciphers and hash functions being proposed. One of the metrics that define a good lightweight design is the energy consumed per unit operation of the algorithm. For block ciphers, this operation is the encryption of one plaintext. By studying the energy consumption model of a CMOS gate, we arri...
متن کاملThe Simeck Family of Lightweight Block Ciphers
Two lightweight block cipher families, Simon and Speck, have been proposed by researchers from the NSA recently. In this paper, we introduce Simeck, a new family of lightweight block ciphers that combines the good design components from both Simon and Speck, in order to devise even more compact and e cient block ciphers. For Simeck32/64, we can achieve 505 GEs (before the Place and Route phase)...
متن کاملImplementing Lightweight Block Ciphers on x86 Architectures
Lightweight block ciphers are designed so as to fit into very constrained environments, but usually not really with software performance in mind. For classical lightweight applications where many constrained devices communicate with a server, it is also crucial that the cipher has good software performance on the server side. Recent work has shown that bitslice implementations applied to Piccol...
متن کاملA Survey on Lightweight Block Ciphers
Ubiquitous and pervasive computing are new era of computing and it needs lightweight cryptographic algorithms for security. Lightweight cryptography is used for resource constrained devices (which have limited memory, limited power and less processing capability) such as radio frequency identification (RFID) tags, contactless smart cards, wireless sensor network, health care devices and interne...
